Usage Indications
Raxidal Description : Injectable chemotherapeutic agent. Indications Raxidal® has proven effective in indications of primary importance in large animal clinical practice. Due to its broad spectrum of activity, the product can be used to treat primary bacterial infections as well as bacterial infections secondary to viral diseases in cattle, horses, swine, sheep, cats, and dogs. Notable special indications (based on clinical trial results) include: Respiratory tract infections: Laryngitis, nonspecific infections, bronchitis, bronchopneumonia, pneumonia, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, nonspecific cough, etc. Infections of the urogenital system: Pyelitis, cystitis, metritis, pyometra, vaginitis, puerperal mastitis, etc. Systemic treatment of general or local infections: Septicemia, especially caused by difficult-to-treat pathogens; Mastitis; Wound infections; Phlegmons; Traumatic reticulitis; Panadystraphia; Joint infections; Pododermatitis; And prophylaxis against infection following surgical procedures. Diseases of young animals: Omphalophlebitis, polyarthritis, pneumonia, pneumonenteritis, calf diphtheria, piglet flu, gastroenteritis, septicemia, etc. Combination therapy: For postpartum diseases in sows (mastitis, metritis), the simultaneous administration of Orastina® is recommended. Dosage : Recommended dosage for all species: Administer 3 ml per 50 kg of body weight. Cattle: Adults: 20 to 30 ml. Heifers and steers: 5 to 15 ml. Calves: 3 to 5 ml. Horses: Adults: 20 to 30 ml. Foals: 5 to 15 ml. Swine: Sows and boars: 8 to 12 ml. Adults: 5 to 8 ml. Piglets: 0.5 to 1 ml. Packaging : 50-ml ampoule bottle. Contraindications : During treatment with Raxidal®, the animal must have access to drinking water. At low temperatures, the solution may, in exceptional cases, form crystalline precipitates. These have no effect on the efficacy of the product and can be eliminated by brief heating (e.g., with hot water). Notes : Raxidal® can be administered intravenously (IV), intramuscularly (IM), or subcutaneously (SC). In most cases, a single dose is sufficient. If the therapeutic effect is insufficient or has not occurred within the first 24 hours, the treatment may be repeated
