Reduction of basal gastric acid secretion or secretion induced by medications such as phenylbutazone, feed, competition stress, transport, or habitat changes. Product formulated for use in sport horses; Not suitable for horses intended for human consumption. Dosage and Routes of Administration: Administer by slow intravenous injection or orally directly into the horse’s mouth. Standard precautions for sterility and asepsis must be observed. Slow intravenous injection: Preventive: 3.5 ml/500 kg, equivalent to 2.2 mg/kg of body weight, every 12–24 hours. Therapeutic: 10 ml/500 kg, equivalent to 6.6 mg/kg of body weight, every 8–12 hours. Oral administration: Preventive dose: 7 ml/500 kg, equivalent to 4.4 mg/kg of body weight every 12–24 hours. Therapeutic: 10 mL/500 kg, equivalent to 6.6 mg/kg of body weight every 8 to 12 hours. Duration of treatment: Preventive—7 days; Therapeutic—15–30 days Maximum dose to be administered: 10 ml. Repeat administration at the discretion of the treating professional.
