Usage Indications

Cypermethrin concentration of 20%, higher than that of several competing products. Low toxicity, phosphorus-free. Category: Antiparasitics. Suitable for: Horses. Pigs. Livestock. Dairy farms. Cypermethrin concentration 20% higher than several competing products. Optimal local and systemic tolerance. Low toxicity; Contains no organophosphates. Excellent cost-benefit ratio. Description External antiparasitic based on 6% cypermethrin in an oily vehicle, for pour-on application, with mosquito-, lice-, and insecticidal action, for use on cattle, swine, sheep, and horses. Composition Ingredient Amount Cypermethrin g Formulation Excipients q.s. to 100 ml Indications Used to treat infestations caused by sucking lice: Heamatopinus sp., chewing lice: Bovícolas sp., and as a preventative against nuisances caused by Diptera: horn flies (Haematobia irritans susceptible to pyrethroids), mosquitoes, and horseflies. For use in cattle, sheep, swine, and horses.It can be safely applied to pregnant females, young animals, or weak animals. Its exclusively local pharmacological action allows it to be administered concurrently with other treatments (vaccines, internal antiparasitics, etc.). Route of Administration Cattle, sheep, and swine: Apply PURON VT using the dispenser from the one-liter container or a dosing syringe, pouring the indicated dose of the product onto the animal’s back from the withers to the rump. For sheep with excessively long wool, part the fleece and apply the product directly to the skin. In horses, avoid applying the product to areas that come into direct contact with the saddle and harness. Dosage Unless otherwise prescribed by a veterinarian, the following is recommended: Animal Recommended Dose Cattle Lice: 10 ml. Horn flies: 10 ml. per 100 kg body weight (maximum dose 40 ml.) Swine Lice: 5 ml. Sheep Lice: 5 ml. Horses: 20 ml. A veterinarian’s professional judgment will determine whether to repeat the treatment, depending on weather conditions, time of year, severity of infestation, etc. Precautions and Contraindications Handle with care. Wear gloves and appropriate clothing to prevent contact with the skin or mucous membranes. Do not smoke, drink, or eat during treatment. Wash with soap and water and change clothing in case of accidental contamination. Do not ingest or inhale. Keep away from food, out of the reach of children, and away from pets. Dispose of used containers properly. Avoid contaminating waterways, rivers, streams, lakes, and ponds, as the active ingredient is toxic to fish. Restrictions on use: Meat from treated animals must not be used for human consumption within 2 days after treatment.
