Usage Indications

Penicillin G Sodium; DESCRIPTION; Injectable antibiotic formulation based on penicillin G sodium; COMPOSITION; Penicillin G sodium (vial No. 1): 30 million IU; Distilled water (vial No. 2) q.s.: 48.6 mL; ACTION; Antibiotic; INDICATIONS; Septicemia. Laryngitis. Pneumonia. Bronchopneumonia. Nephritis. Cystitis. Metritis. Equine adenitis. Gas gangrene. Tetanus. Infected wounds. Phlegmons. Actinomycosis. Actinobacillosis; In general, all infectious conditions caused by microorganisms sensitive to penicillin; CONTRAINDICATIONS AND WARNINGS; Do not use in animals allergic to penicillins. Do not dilute in any vehicle other than distilled water, saline solution, or 5% dextrose solution. Do not combine with bacteriostatic agents; The powder remains stable for three years. Once reconstituted, the solution must be stored for no more than 7 (seven) days at 2 to 5°C; Since the product will be used under circumstances beyond the manufacturer’s control, the manufacturer is not liable for any consequences arising from its improper use; DOSAGE; It may be administered intravenously, intramuscularly, subcutaneously, or intrauterinely; Horses, sheep, pigs, and cattle: 12,000 to 20,000 IU/kg/day, divided into three or four doses (every 6 or 8 hours); PACKAGING; : Vial containing 30,000,000 IU of sterile Penicillin G sodium and a bottle containing 50 ml of diluent.
