COMPOSITION; Ovusyn® is a medication whose active ingredient is human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), specially formulated to achieve optimal results in inducing ovulation and stimulating corpus luteum development in various animal species; Each mL of solution contains:; Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG)............... 500 IU; Thimerosal and other excipients................................ q.s; ACTION; HCG has an LH-like biological action, thereby inducing ovulation and corpus luteum formation in most domestic species. This action allows hCG to be used to synchronize ovulation in cyclic animals or to stimulate corpus luteum development and progesterone secretion in animals that require it; INDICATIONS; Induction or synchronization of ovulation in female horses, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, and dogs; Induction of luteal development to prevent cases of early embryonic death in cows or heifers. In this case, its administration produces accessory corpus luteums, resulting in increased plasma progesterone levels; Adjuvant in the treatment of subfertility, infertility, anestrus, or absence of estrus signs of non-infectious origin in female horses, cattle, sheep, goats, swine, and dogs; DOSAGE; FOR EQUINES:; Induction of ovulation: Administer 2,500 IU intramuscularly or intravenously 4 to 6 days after administration of prostaglandin or its analogs, or when a 35-mm follicle has been detected; CATTLE:; Induction of luteal development: Administer 1,000 to 3,000 IU intramuscularly 4 to 10 days after artificial insemination.
