Usage Indications

NEUROMAX High-Performance Neurolytic Agent 1.5% Benefits: NEUROMAX 1.5% is a neurolytic agent intended exclusively for parenteral administration—subcutaneous, intramuscular, periarticular, or perineural—to produce rapid, temporary inhibition of nerve conduction in unmyelinated type C fibers due to the ammonium ion, which acts through ionic competition; Its ability to block transmission is inversely proportional to the thickness of the nerve fiber, so the dose to be used varies according to the diameter of the nerve being treated. Indications: Reversible blockade of unmyelinated type C nerve fibers responsible for the conduction of pain stimuli. Neuralgias, myalgias, myositis, muscle spasms. Degenerative joint disease. Bursitis. Synovitis. Periostitis Target species: Sport and working horses not intended for human consumption. Dosage, dose, and route of administration: The dosage depends on the area to be treated. Perineural application: Digital nerves: 2 to 4 mL. Palmar nerves: 3 to 5 mL. Superficial peroneal nerve: 3 mL. Deep peroneal nerve: 5 to 7 mL. Tibial nerve: 5 to 7 mL. Dorsal metacarpal/metatarsal periostitis and intermetacarpal/intermetatarsal osteitis: 5 mL or more, at the veterinarian’s discretion. Intramuscular injections: 5 ml per injection site, for a total dose of 50 ml per hindquarters, shoulder, or back and loin. May be administered with anti-inflammatory drugs or local anesthetics at the veterinarian’s discretion. Repeat the dosage as many times as necessary once the effects of the previous application have worn off, since, unlike phenol-based neurolytics, NEUROMAX does not cause fibrosis at the injection site. Notes: For perineural administration, it is recommended to use it undiluted without the addition of other substances (corticosteroids, local anesthetics, etc.) . For intramuscular injections, it may be mixed with anti-inflammatory agents (corticosteroids, etc.), which increases the volume and allows for coverage of a larger area of muscle tissue. Packaging: 50-ml ampoule vial. Formula: Ammonium chloride 1.5 g, excipients q.s. to 100 ml MUST BE ADMINISTERED BY A VETERINARIAN
