NEUROLITICO PLUS ES; Equi Systems Injectable; Neurolytic Neurolytics and Anesthetics; Formula:; Phenol 2.50 g; Ammonium Chloride 5.00 g; Excipients q.s. 100 ml; Packaging: Ampoule vial containing 50 ml; INDICATIONS: This product is intended to induce temporary neurolysis of the deep and superficial peroneal nerves, and possibly the tibial nerve, in order to reduce pain in the tarsal joint in chronic conditions. This reduction in pain leads to increased joint mobility and improved blood flow to the area, while also enhancing the horse’s quality of life; ADMINISTRATION: Perineural, using the technique of nerve block anesthesia on the corresponding nerves. Alternatively, it may be administered subcutaneously in the fetlock area. Due to the product’s viscosity, it must be administered using a large-gauge needle, e.g., 18G x 1.5. In very cold environments, the vial may be placed in a water bath to facilitate administration; DOSAGE: The doses indicated are for adult sport horses; Deep peroneal nerve: 5 to 8 mL; Superficial peroneal nerve: 1.5 to 2 mL; Tibial nerve: 6 to 10 mL; If an injection into the splint area is chosen, 1 to 2 ml should be injected subcutaneously into the area, with or without air. This dosage may vary based on the treating professional’s judgment and experience; INTERVAL BETWEEN DOSES AND DURATION OF TREATMENT: A single injection is recommended, which may be repeated if symptoms recur. The duration of the neurolytic effect cannot be predicted, but it is approximately 3 to 4 months
