NEUROLITICO ES; Neurolitico Injectable; Formula:; Phenol 4.57 g; Excipients q.s. to 100 ml; PACKAGING: Ampoule bottle containing 50 ml; Indications: This product is intended to induce temporary neurolysis of the deep and superficial peroneal nerves, and possibly the tibial nerve, in order to reduce pain in the tarsal joint in chronic conditions. This reduction in pain results in increased joint mobility and improved blood flow to the area, while also enhancing the horse’s quality of life; ADMINISTRATION: Perineural, using the technique for nerve block anesthesia on the corresponding nerves. Alternatively, it may be administered subcutaneously in the fetlock area. Due to the product’s viscosity, it must be administered using a large-gauge needle, e.g., 18G x 1.5. In very cold environments, the vial may be placed in a water bath to facilitate administration; DOSAGE: The indicated doses are for adult sport horses; Deep peroneal nerve: 5 to 8 ml; Superficial peroneal nerve: 1.5 to 2 ml; Tibial nerve: 6 to 10 ml; If an injection into the fetlock area is chosen, 1 to 2 mL should be administered subcutaneously in that area, with or without air.
