Usage Indications
Lidocaine 2% DESCRIPTION Local anesthetic formulation based on lidocaine hydrochloride. COMPOSITION Lidocaine hydrochloride: 2 g. Excipients q.s.: 100 ml. ACTION Local anesthetic. INDICATIONS Peripheral nerve block (trunk anesthesia, infiltration anesthesia, etc.). Epidural anesthesia. Infiltration of atrophic or contracted muscle masses, etc. Myalgia. Arthralgia. CONTRAINDICATIONS AND WARNINGS Do not administer to animals with liver damage. Do not inject into infected or inflamed areas or tissues. SIDE EFFECTS: If administered in excess, local anesthetics may cause respiratory, cardiovascular, and central nervous system disorders. In the event of severe toxic reactions (due to overdose or intravascular injection), administer short-acting barbiturates (thiopental) or muscle relaxants (diazepam) intravenously. DOSAGE It may be administered subcutaneously (perineurally) or intramuscularly. The dose varies depending on the nerve or muscle mass to be anesthetized (epidural anesthesia: 8 to 10 ml; Digital or palmar nerve: 2 to 6 ml; Etc.). PRESENTATION : 100-ml vial.
