Action: Balanced electrolyte solutions restore the ions essential for the body’s water-electrolyte balance. They provide a safe source of energy through the inclusion of glucose-fructose—the latter being insulin-independent—and also have a notable antitoxic effect. The addition of essential amino acids enhances the effect of this product, as they provide methyl and sulfhydryl groups that are crucial for detoxification processes, in addition to their recognized regenerative effect. Indications: Dehydration with acidosis and electrolyte depletion. Diarrhea and colic of various etiologies, shock states, detoxification, and energy supplementation. Fluid and electrolyte replacement during and after surgery. Restoration of plastic and energy components depleted by intense athletic exertion in racehorses, show jumpers, polo horses, trotters, or workhorses. Dosage: 250 to 500 ml by slow IV infusion.
