ACTION Antimicrobial. INDICATIONS Acute respiratory conditions of bacterial origin (pneumonia, bronchitis, laryngitis, pleurisy). Urogenital conditions (nephritis, pyelonephritis, metritis, cystitis, vaginitis). Gastrointestinal conditions (enteritis, diarrhea, peritonitis, intestinal infarction, Colitis X, neonatal diarrhea in foals). Actinobacillosis, septic arthritis, equine adenitis, omphalitis, osteomyelitis, etc. CONTRAINDICATIONS AND WARNINGS Do not administer to horses with (non-bacterial) kidney or liver conditions, or to those with a history of hypersensitivity to any of the product’s components. It should also not be used in animals suspected of having blood dyscrasias. The patient must have access to sufficient drinking water. Treatment should be initiated as soon as possible. Monitor for any signs of toxicity; If they occur, discontinue the medication, alkalinize the urine, and administer epinephrine if necessary.
