Usage Indications
Diuretic; Potent diuretic—saluretic; Benefits: There is a pathophysiological condition characterized by water retention in various tissues, known as edema, for which the primary treatment is based on eliminating this excess water through the kidneys using drugs that increase diuresis, known as diuretics. DIURETIC significantly increases the renal excretion of water (renotropic action) and, more importantly for the treatment of edema, the excretion of sodium via the same route, since water passively follows it due to osmotic action. DIURETIC is one of the most potent saluretic diuretics. Its administration rapidly eliminates edema and its associated effects while keeping potassium excretion at a low level. DIURETIC’s potent activity allows diuresis to be managed as needed, with the dose adjusted according to the severity and progression of the disease; Indications: Edema of any etiology and location: renal, cerebral, cardiac, pulmonary, or due to vascular obstruction. Hypertension. Exercise-induced pulmonary hemorrhage (EPH); Target species: sport and working horses not intended for human consumption; Dosage, dose, and route of administration: HORSES: 2 to 6 ml (100 to 300 mg) 1 to 3 times daily, as needed or as directed by a veterinarian. Intravenous or intramuscular; Injection. Packaging: Vial (ampoule) containing 10 ml and 50 ml; Formula:; Furosemide...................5000; Mg, excipients q.s. to 100 ml; MUST BE ADMINISTERED BY A VETERINARIAN
