Usage Indications
Creatine Preventive supplement. Therapeutic. Nutraceutical. Benefits: The high-intensity, short-duration muscular effort a horse exerts during a short-distance race (400 to 1,200 meters) is characterized by high levels of anaerobic activity, during which the horse’s muscles do not use oxygen as an energy source, but rather ATP (adenosine triphosphate) and creatine phosphate, a protein-based substance that the body (human or animal) naturally synthesizes from glycine and arginine, two essential amino acids. The rapid depletion of creatine phosphate reserves toward the end of a short-distance race reduces the muscles’ ability to contract, resulting in a loss of speed and endurance. However, it has been proven that proper supplementation of horses with Creatina Chinfield—a powdered supplement based on creatine monohydrate, glucose, and ATP—increases muscle stores of this substance, thereby preventing rapid depletion and allowing speed to be maintained for longer. Creatine Chinfield is an ergogenic product, available over the counter, and authorized for consumption. Indications: One of the main reasons athletes lose speed toward the end of an exercise is the depletion of creatine phosphate reserves, which, together with ATP, constitute the primary source of energy during short-duration maximal efforts. As these elements are depleted, muscle contractile capacity begins to fail. The addition of exogenous creatine increases the total storage capacity of this substance in the muscle, thereby delaying the depletion of creatine phosphate during high-intensity contractions. An ergogenic product specifically indicated for animals engaged in anaerobic activity, such as high-intensity, short-duration exercise. Target species: sport horses not intended for human consumption. Dosage, dose, and administration: Loading phase: 25 grams, 3 times daily (every 8 hours), for 7 consecutive days. Maintenance phase: 25 grams daily. A minimum treatment duration of 8 days is recommended, including the day of the event; However, the duration of administration is at the veterinarian’s discretion. Prolonged or chronic use should be avoided and replaced with cyclical or periodic use, administered as indicated in the previous section. It is recommended not to exceed 20 days of treatment. Each time treatment is restarted, the instructions for both phases should be repeated, provided there is no interruption in administration lasting longer than 3 days. It is recommended to begin treatment 15 days before the competition. Packaging: 1000 g jar.
