Baytril 5% Injection DESCRIPTION Baytril Injectable 5% is a synthetic antibacterial agent, distinct from common classes of antibiotics. As a result, it does not exhibit cross-resistance with other antibiotics and is effective even against multidrug-resistant bacteria. Baytril Injection 5% is rapidly absorbed and distributed throughout the body (1–2 hours), allowing it to maintain high therapeutic concentrations for 24 hours. Dogs and cats: 5 mg/kg body weight, equivalent to 1 ml of Baytril Injectable 5% per 10 kg of body weight Poultry: 10 mg/kg body weight, or the equivalent of 1 mL of Baytril Injectable 5% per 5 kg of body weight. The dosage may be increased at the veterinarian’s discretion without risk to the animals; The dose may be doubled for intensive therapy in severe cases.
