Baytril 5% Injection DESCRIPTION Baytril Injectable 5% is a synthetic antibacterial agent, distinct from common classes of antibiotics. As a result, it does not exhibit cross-resistance with other antibiotics and is effective even against multidrug-resistant bacteria. Baytril Injection 5% is rapidly absorbed and distributed throughout the body (1–2 hours), allowing it to maintain high therapeutic concentrations for 24 hours. It is highly effective against both localized infections in organs (including bone) and systemic infections (even in the cerebrospinal fluid). Enrofloxacin ......................................................... 50 mg Excipients q.s. ..................................................... 1.0 ml Baytril Injectable 5% can be administered intramuscularly , subcutaneously, or intravenously. The routine dosage is: Ruminants and pigs: 2.5 mg/kg body weight, which is equivalent to 1 ml of Baytril Injectable 5% per 20 kg of body weight. Dogs and cats: 5 mg/kg body weight, equivalent to 1 ml of Baytril Injectable 5% per 10 kg of body weight Poultry: 10 mg/kg body weight, or the equivalent of 1 mL of Baytril Injectable 5% per 5 kg of body weight. The dosage may be increased at the veterinarian’s discretion without risk to the animals; The dose may be doubled for intensive therapy in severe cases. The optimal administration interval is every 24 hours, and a 3-day treatment course is recommended; For intracellular pathogens (Salmonella spp.), a 5-day treatment course is recommended
